My Name is Kettle.  I was once a Burmecian noble, if you can even call them that.  This is my story.

Burmecia is a hard place, a vicious place.  Such societies were not built for everyone, not for me.  My father could see that this was true.  That I had no desire to be like my brethren.  Back-stabbing, tussling, murder, and competing for glory and power.

Those things seem so mundane and unimportant in the grand scheme.  To fight and kill over something that can be so passing and nearly be expected to be overthrown in red the next morning.  Even if your opponents don't really die...

 {OOC:  more on this mechanic later}

So I was sent away, unwilling to partake in their blood games.  Although I was never officially striped of title, I did walk away from my entitlements.  I left with only my formal training as a dragoon knight and a simple lance.

I eventually wound up fighting in scheduled bouts in underground matches in Alexandria.  I fought on my own terms, and only for small personal gains.  And nobody died the shallow death.

I developed a reputation for my fighting style.  I became known as the Upstanding Burmecian.  I never took advantage of a disarmed opponent, or one with their back turned.  No poison.  These tactics are standard for cowards and Burmecians.  I fought as a knight of tradition.

I earned enough keep to fully arm myself with customized traditional dragoon arms and armor.  Around this time, a member of the Clan Centurio, witnessed one one of my fights where I displayed a special ability I command 'Dragoon Burst'.  My usual knightly virtue was on display as I handed my enemy back his weapon though I had earnestly disarmed him of it.

The agent was impressed and asked me if I was interested in joining the clan.

I joined, and quickly took on many duties and clan responsibilities as Clan Centurio was in rebuilding mode.  Once large, they had allowed their factions to become independent organizations.  Montblac started development of the new clan from the ground up.

My relationship with Montblanc(guild-master of Clan Centurio) was a good one.  I was often more businesslike in attitude than he, and I'm sure he appreciated me for it.  And I in turn, appreciated his precise handling on every facet of our efforts - and his easygoing attitude the whole way.

Eventually Montblanc made one of my primary responsibilities guild recruitment, so I struck out into the city with few ideas of where and how to find able bodied recuits.

This is where my adventure truly began.
